PROCESS:

 

Using provided laser scan and photo refs we create all the objects that are built around the race track, e.g grandstand, media booths, various advert signage, within track objects like pit-walls, signalling and camera booths. A mid-size objects like a camera booth would take about 1000 polys and one 1024x1024 texture map where as large objects like grandstand is built in about 25k to 80k polys, supported with several tiling and non-tiling, normal and specular maps.

 

We create PBR materials/textures to accurately represent the material properties of the object. Depending on the complexity of the object, 2 to 5 lods are created with 60% reduction at every state. Finally each object is exported to Unreal Engine for final QC making sure it represents the real objects as accurately possible.
